RNW Store Release – 1st August 2021
Release to Spotify & Other Retailers – 1st September 2021

Ruth Nina Welsh is an English singer-songwriter, pianist and guitarist whose signature, haunting vocals are captivating listeners. Ruth’s powerful lyrics and acoustic mix of styles – blues, folk, country, up-tempo and ballads – are attracting fans of iconic singer-songwriters like Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, Carole King and Leonard Cohen.

Although Ruth is no longer well enough to play and perform, she is beginning to release her catalogue of studio songs and home recordings – which spans more than three decades – with newly commissioned artwork.

The fourteen songs on this album were recorded at Lime Tree Studios in Norfolk, UK, during 1999-2001. Breathe is a re-release of Ruth’s debut album from 2000. Finally these songs are available again and the album re-release has all new artwork. The original album photo was taken in 1998. The album artwork was painted in 2019 by artist Tanya Gordeeva.
